| Keratan sulfate (KS) known as one of the glycosaminoglycans exists in tissue as keratan sulfate proteoglycan (KSPG). KS is composed of repeating disaccharide of galactose and N-acetylglucosamine and shows diversity by the number of the sulfation on the sugar chain. KS is well known for existing in cornea and in some cartilage. Recently brain KS has been identified as new type KSPG. |
