SEIKAGAKU BIOBUSINESS CORPORATION started operations in October 2007 as a 100% wholly-owned subsidiary of Seikagaku Corporation. Taking over the Fine Chemical businesses began by Seikagaku Corporation, SEIKAGAKU BIOBUSINESS CORPORATION is engaged primarily in the sales of raw materials such as Hyaluronan and Chondroitin sulfate for pharmaceutical products and for cosmetics, and in the manufacture and sales of research use reagents and endotoxin-assay reagents.
Recently, involvement of the sugar chain in various life processes is becoming apparent, and interest in glycoscience in the life science fields is growing. For endotoxin-assay reagents, application to new areas such as dialysis treatment has been growing as well as the application to quality control of the pharmaceuticals and medical equipments, and the market is exepecting for further more development in new applications continously
